(d) The reports filed in accordance with this section
shall be treated as confidential records. The reports shall
be released only for bona fide research or educational
purposes. Reports relating to physicians may be released to
the STATE Board of Medical Examiners; reports relating to
hospitals and blood banks may be released to the Department
of Health and Mental Hygiene; and reports relating to
nurses, dentists, osteopaths, podiatrists, optometrists, and
chiropractors may be released to the appropriate licensing
board for such health providers. The recipient of the
report in its sole discretion shall determine the validity
of any request for the reports.

(a)  In this subtitle the following terms have the
meanings indicated[:].

(b)  "Practice of medicine" has the SAME meaning
[specified in § 119, Definitions, of the Health Code
(Article 43) of the Code] AS "PRACTICE MEDICINE" AS DEFINED
IN § 14-101 OF THE HEALTH OCCUPATIONS ARTICLE..

(c)  "Physician" means any person licensed to practice
medicine in the State of Maryland and any person legally
practicing medicine without a license [pursuant to
subsections (b) (1), (b) (2), (b) (3) and (b) (4) of § 122,
Practice without a license, of the Health Code (Article 43)
of the Code] UNDER § 14-302(1), (2), (3), OR (5) OF THE
HEALTH OCCUPATIONS ARTICLE.

(d)  "Licensed physician" means any person licensed to
practice medicine in the State of Maryland.

552.

(a) Prior to the expiration of 15 days from June 1,
1975, the STATE Board of Medical Examiners[, as established
by the Health Code (Article 43) of the Code,] shall certify
to the State Treasurer a list of all licensed physicians as
shown in the records of the STATE Board of Medical Examiners
as of June 1, 1975.

Article 59 - Mental Hygiene

3.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have
the meanings indicated unless a contrary meaning is clearly
intended from the context in which the term appears:

(a-1) "Certified psychologist" means any person [duly]
certified under the [Psychologists'] MARYLAND PSYCHOLOGISTS
Certification Act, [Article 43, §§ 618 - 644A] TITLE 16 OF
THE HEALTH OCCUPATIONS ARTICLE, and listed in the National
Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
