(II) ANY OTHER SUBJECT, IF THE APPLICANT
HAS TAKEN COURSES IN AUDIOLOGY THAT THE BOARD FINDS
SUFFICIENT TO QUALIFY THE APPLICANT IN AUDIOLOGY; AND

EMPLOYMENT, AND ADDITIONAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

THE BASIS OF APPROPRIATE NATIONAL STANDARDS.
(D) EXAMINATION.
EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE, THE
APPLICANT SHALL PASS AN EXAMINATION GIVEN OR APPROVED BY THE
BOARD UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the last clause
of Art. 43, § 791(3), the introductory language
of Art. 43, § 793(a) — except for the fee
requirement in that subsection, which now appears
in § 2-303 of this subtitle — and as Art. 43, §
793(a)(1), (2) -- as that item relates to
audiologists -- (3), and the first sentence of

language is added to allow an applicant to meet
the educational requirements for a license if the
applicant has a master's degree or its equivalent

judgment of the Board, has taken a sufficient
number of audiology courses. This interpretation
conforms to current Board practice. This
addition is called to the attention of the
General Assembly.
In subsection (c)(2) of this section, the
reference to transcripts as written evidence of
meeting the Board's requirements is deleted, in
accordance with the current practice of the
Board, to give the Board greater discretion in
judging evidence of meeting the requirements.
Also in subsection (c)(2) of this section, the
present reference to "one or more accredited
colleges or universities" is deleted as
inaccurate. The reference does not include every
place where an applicant can receive the
education and clinical experience and incorrectly

employment requirements at a college or
university, when, in fact, in practice the
requirements must be fulfilled outside of a
college program.
Subsection (d) of this section is rephrased in
standard language to state expressly that if a
