state -- on the basis of the license in the
second state, which was acquired by waiver on the
basis of being examined and licensed in the first
state. This provision, which is included in most
of the titles of this article and which conforms
with Board practice, allows the Board to give
fair consideration under this section to a social
worker who, in the course of that professional
career, has moved from one state to another
before moving to Maryland to practice here.

18-306. ISSUANCE, CONTENTS, AND REPLACEMENT OF LICENSES.

(A) ISSUANCE.

THE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A LICENSE TO ANY APPLICANT WHO
MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS TITLE.

(B)

CONTENTS.

THE BOARD SHALL INCLUDE ON EACH LICENSE THAT THE
ISSUES:

BOARD

(1)  THE KIND OF LICENSE;

(2)  THE FULL NAME OF THE LICENSEE;

(3)  A SERIAL NUMBER;

(4)  THE SIGNATURES OF THE CHAIRMAN AND THE
SECRETARY OF THE BOARD; AND

(5)  THE SEAL OF THE BOARD.

(C) REPLACEMENT OF LOST, DESTROYED, OR MUTILATED

LICENSE.

THE BOARD MAY ISSUE A LICENSE
DESTROYED, OR MUTILATED LICENSE IF THE
LICENSE REPLACEMENT FEE SET BY THE BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
868(b) and the last sentence of § 869(c).

Subsection (b)(1) of this section is new language
added for clarity and to conform to current Board
practice.

In subsection (c) of this section, the present
reference to replacement of a revoked license is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the power of
the Board to reinstate a revoked license under §
18-313 of this subtitle.
