HARRY HUGHES, Governor                                 705

In subsection (f) of this section, the last two
sentences of present Art. 43, § 864(d), which
relate to certain rules and regulations and make
a statement of legislative intent, are deleted as
obsolete.

Present Art. 43, § 866, which provides for
alternative qualifications for certain
individuals during periods ending July 1, 1977,
August 1, 1978, and December 31, 1978, is deleted
as obsolete.

18-303. APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSES.

TO APPLY FOR A LICENSE, AN APPLICANT SHALL:

(1)  SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE BOARD ON THE
FORM THAT THE BOARD REQUIRES; AND

(2)  PAY TO THE BOARD THE APPLICATION FEE SET BY
THE BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
from the reference to a license fee in Art. 43, §
868(b).

Item (1) of this section is standard language
added to this and, where necessary, corresponding
sections of other titles of this article. It
states expressly a provision that presently is
only implied in the law: i.e., that,
applications may be made only on the form
required by the Board.

Present Art. 43, § 868(f), which provides that
the Board shall keep the application fee on a
license denial, is deleted as unnecessary.

As to the authority of the Board to set fees, see
§ 18-206 of this title.

18-304. EXAMINATIONS.

(A)  RIGHT TO EXAMINATION.

AN APPLICANT WHO OTHERWISE QUALIFIES FOR A LICENSE IS
ENTITLED TO BE EXAMINED FOR THAT LICENSE AS PROVIDED IN THIS
SECTION.

(B)  TIME AND PLACE OF EXAMINATION.

THE BOARD SHALL GIVE EXAMINATIONS TO APPLICANTS FOR
EACH CATEGORY OF LICENSE AT LEAST TWICE A YEAR, AT THE TIMES
AND PLACES THAT THE BOARD DETERMINES.

(C) NOTICE OF EXAMINATION.
