Department of Personnel with the approval of the
Board of Public Works.

The second clause of the first sentence of
present Art. 43, § 130(b), which provides for the
votes required for the Commission to suspend or
revoke a license, now appears in § 14-504 of this
title.

The second sentence of present Art. 43, § 130(f),
which provides for the funding mechanism as to
the compensation of members now appears in §
14-206 of this title.

14-404. DUTIES OF COMMISSION.

IN ADDITION TO THE DUTIES SET FORTH ELSEWHERE IN THIS
TITLE, THE COMMISSION SHALL:

(1)  ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR:

(I)  THE CONDUCT OF ITS BUSINESS; AND

(II)  THE PROPER SUPERVISION AND CONTROL OF
THE PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT OF THE PERSONS UNDER ITS
JURISDICTION; AND

(2)  SUBMIT AN ANNUAL REPORT TO THE SECRETARY,
THE BOARD, AND THE FACULTY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the last clause
of the second paragraph of Art. 43, § 130(b) and
from Art. 43, § 130(d).

The last phrase of the second paragraph of
present Art. 43, § 130(b), "... as provided
herein and not inconsistent with the laws of this
State or of the United States", is deleted as
unnecessary.

SUBTITLE 5. DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS.

14-501. INVESTIGATIONS — IN GENERAL.

(A)  PRELIMINARY COMMISSION INVESTIGATION.

THE COMMISSION MAY PERFORM ANY NECESSARY PRELIMINARY
INVESTIGATION BEFORE THE COMMISSION REFERS TO AN
INVESTIGATORY BODY AN ALLEGATION OF GROUNDS FOR DISCIPLINARY
OR OTHER ACTION BROUGHT TO ITS ATTENTION.

(B)  REFERRAL BY COMMISSION.

AFTER PERFORMING ANY NECESSARY PRELIMINARY
INVESTIGATION OF AN ALLEGATION OF GROUNDS FOR DISCIPLINARY
OR OTHER ACTION, THE COMMISSION SHALL REFER THE ALLEGATION
FOR INVESTIGATION AND REPORT TO THE APPROPRIATE:
