(B) TERM OF LIMITED LICENSE.

EACH LIMITED LICENSE ISSUED UNDER THIS SECTION EXPIRES
ON THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF ITS EFFECTIVE DATE.

14-317. LICENSE ON SPECIAL EXAMINATION.

THE BOARD MAY LICENSE AN APPLICANT UNDER SPECIAL
EXAMINATION, IF THE APPLICANT:

(1) IS OF CONCEDED EMINENCE AND AUTHORITY IN THE
PROFESSION;

(2) IS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE MEDICINE IN

ANOTHER JURISDICTION;

(3) (2) HAS PRACTICED MEDICINE FOR AT LEAST 10
YEARS;

(4) (3) MEETS THE QUALIFICATIONS OTHERWISE
REQUIRED BY THIS TITLE;

(5) (4) SUBMITS TO THE BOARD AN APPLICATION ON
THE FORM REQUIRED BY THE BOARD; AND

(6) (5) PAYS THE APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED BY THE
BOARD UNDER § 14-307 OF THIS SUBTITLE.

without substantive change from Art. 43, § 125.

Item (4) of this section is standard language
added to this and, where necessary, corresponding
sections of other titles of this article. It
states expressly a provision that presently is
only implied in the law: i.e., that applications
may be made only on the form required by the
Board.

Item (5) of this section is added to clarify the
power of the Board to set fees for licensing.

As to the authority of the Board to set fees, see
§ 14-206 of this title.

14-401. COMMISSION ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS A COMMISSION ON MEDICAL DISCIPLINE OF MARYLAND
IN THE DEPARTMENT.
