LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch.8

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
124(a)(2) and (3). Its revision is patterned
after the standard language used throughout this
article for provisions that allow or require
waiver of examination requirements on a
reciprocal basis.

The term "state" is substituted for the term
"jurisdiction" in light of the definition of
"state" in § 1-101 of this article.

In subsections (c)(1) and (2)(i) and (d)(1) of
this section, standard language is added to
clarify that the applicant must pay the required
application fee and meet the other qualifications
of this title.

In subsection (d)(2)(i) of this section, the
general reference to qualifications required by
this title is substituted for the specific,
incomplete enumeration of qualifications. See §
14-305 of this title as to applicant
qualifications.

Present Art. 43, § 124(b), which refers to the
right of an individual licensed under Title 11 of
this article to practice osteopathy, is deleted
as unnecessary in light of the general scope of
title exemptions for other health occupations of
this article in § 14-102 of this title.

14-311. ISSUANCE OF LICENSE.

THE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A LICENSE TO ANY APPLICANT WHO
MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS TITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
121(3).

14-312. SCOPE OF LICENSE.

EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE, A LICENSE
AUTHORIZES THE LICENSEE TO PRACTICE MEDICINE WHILE THE
LICENSE IS EFFECTIVE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is a standard provision
added for clarity to this and, where necessary,
other titles of this article.

14-313. EXEMPTION FROM LICENSE FEE.
