Item (2) of this section is standard language
added to this and, where necessary, corresponding
sections of other titles of this article. It is
added to clarify the authority of the Board —
under its broad rulemaking power — to establish
reasonable fees.

§ 14-206 of this title.

14-308. EXAMINATIONS.

(A)  INDIVIDUALS TO BE EXAMINED.

(1)  AN APPLICANT WHO OTHERWISE QUALIFIES FOR A
LICENSE UNDER THIS TITLE IS ENTITLED TO BE EXAMINED AS
PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION.

(2)  THE BOARD MAY ESTABLISH STANDARDS FOR
EXAMINING QUALIFIED MEDICAL STUDENTS BEFORE THEY COMPLETE
THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE.

(B)  TIME AND PLACE OF EXAMINATION.

THE BOARD SHALL GIVE EXAMINATIONS TO APPLICANTS AT
LEAST ONCE A YEAR, AT THE TIMES AND PLACES THAT THE BOARD
DETERMINES.

(C)  NOTICE OF EXAMINATION.

THE BOARD SHALL NOTIFY EACH QUALIFIED APPLICANT OF THE
TIME AND PLACE OF EXAMINATION.

(D)  SUBJECTS AND METHOD OF EXAMINATION.

THE BOARD SHALL DETERMINE THE SUBJECTS, SCOPE, FORM,
AND PASSING SCORE FOR EXAMINATIONS GIVEN UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE.

(E)  PARTICIPATION BY CONSUMER MEMBERS OF BOARD.

UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY THE BOARD, THE CONSUMER MEMBER OF
THE BOARD MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY ACTIVITY RELATED TO
EXAMINATIONS UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.
