licensed dentists administering anesthesia for
dental purposes, now appears in Title 4 of this
article.

Present Art. 43, § 119(g)(2) and (6), which
specifies the individual not affected by this
title, now appears in § 14-102 of this title.

Present Art. 43, § 119(h), which is intended as a
prohibition rather than a definition, now appears
in § 14-702 of this title.

(J) RELATED INSTITUTION.

"RELATED INSTITUTION" HAS THE MEANING STATED IN ARTICLE
43, § 556 OF THE CODE.

14-102. SCOPE OF TITLE.

(A)  INDIVIDUALS EXEMPT — IN GENERAL.
THIS TITLE DOES NOT LIMIT THE RIGHT OF:

(1)  AN INDIVIDUAL TO PRACTICE A HEALTH
OCCUPATION THAT THE INDIVIDUAL IS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE
UNDER THIS ARTICLE; OR

(2)  A CHRISTIAN SCIENCE PRACTITIONER, WHO IS
ACCREDITED BY THE FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST, IN
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, FROM:

(I)  DEALING WITH HUMAN ILLS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE TENETS OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE; AND

(II)  CHARGING FOR SERVICES.

(B)  SAME — DENTIST ADMINISTERING ANESTHESIA;
CHRISTIAN SCIENCE PRACTITIONER.

THIS TITLE DOES NOT PROHIBIT A LICENSED DENTIST OR ANY
OTHER INDIVIDUAL AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY UNDER
TITLE 4 OF THIS ARTICLE, WHO HAS ADMINISTERED ANESTHESIA
REGULARLY IN HOSPITALS IN THIS STATE FOR AT LEAST 15 YEARS
BEFORE JUNE 1, 1962, FROM PRACTICING ANESTHESIOLOGY OR
ADMINISTERING ANESTHESIA FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES.
