14-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language used as
the standard introductory language to a
definition section.

See also § 1-101 of this article for other
applicable definitions.

(B)  BOARD.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
119(b).

The word "Maryland" is deleted from the Board
title to avoid the use of the duplicative terms
"Maryland" and "State" and to correspond with
other health occupations board designations used
in this article.

(C)  COMMISSION.

"COMMISSION" MEANS THE COMMISSION ON MEDICAL DISCIPLINE
OF MARYLAND.

Art. 43, § 119(c).

(D)  FACULTY.

"FACULTY" MEANS THE MEDICAL AND CHIRURGICAL FACULTY OF
THE STATE OF MARYLAND.

(E)  HOSPITAL.

"HOSPITAL" HAS THE MEANING STATED IN ARTICLE 43, § 556
OF THE CODE.
