LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch.8

(2)  SUBMITS TO THE BOARD AN APPLICATION ON A
FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE BOARD; AND

(3)  MEETS ANY OTHER REQUIREMENT SET BY THE
BOARD.

(B)  SCOPE.

A RESTRICTED LICENSE AUTHORIZES THE HOLDER TO PRACTICE
PHYSICAL THERAPY IN CONNECTION WITH:

(1)  GIVING LECTURES OR WORKSHOPS ON PHYSICAL
THERAPY; OR

(2)  TAKING ANY SHORT-TERM PHYSICAL THERAPY STUDY
COURSE THAT IS APPROVED BY THE BOARD.

(C)  TERM.

A RESTRICTED LICENSE EXPIRES AT THE END OF:

(1)  THE LECTURE OR WORKSHOP ON PHYSICAL THERAPY;
OR

(2)  THE SHORT-TERM PHYSICAL THERAPY STUDY COURSE
THAT IS APPROVED BY THE BOARD.

(D)  RENEWAL.

THE BOARD MAY NOT RENEW A RESTRICTED LICENSE. HOWEVER,
THE HOLDER OF A RESTRICTED LICENSE MAY REAPPLY TO THE BOARD
FOR A NEW LICENSE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
610(d).

Subsections (c) and (d) of this section are new
language added to state expressly that a
restricted license has a term and may not be
renewed. This addition conforms to the current
practice of the Board and is called to the
attention of the General Assembly.

The term "restricted license" is substituted for
the term "temporary permit", for clarity, as
licenses that are issued under this section are
restricted in scope as well as duration. This
terminology also avoids confusion with the
"temporary license" issued under § 13-313 of
this subtitle.

In subsection (a) of this section, the phrase "in
any other state" is substituted for "another
state, Commonwealth, possession of the United
States, or the District of Columbia" in light of
