THE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A LICENSE TO REPLACE THE
TEMPORARY LICENSE OF A HOLDER, IF THE BOARD RECEIVES:

(1)  THE PASSING TEST SCORES OF THE HOLDER; AND

(2)  ANY OTHER DOCUMENT THAT THE BOARD REQUIRES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the last four
sentences of Art. 43, § 610(c)(2).

Subsections (a)(l)(ii)l. and (d)(2)(ii) of this
section are standard language added to this and,
where necessary, corresponding sections of other
titles of this article. They state expressly
provisions that presently are only implied in the
law: i.e., that applications may be made only on
the forms required by the Board.

Subsection (a)(2) of this section is new language
added to state expressly that which presently is
only implied in the law — i.e., that the Board
may issue a temporary license to an applicant
educated outside of any state who has been
accepted for a preceptorship. As to the
preceptorship requirement for applicants from
outside of any state, see § 13-303(b)(2) of this
subtitle.

In subsection (d) of this section, standard
language is added to this and, where necessary,
corresponding sections of other titles of this
article to state expressly provisions that
presently are only implied in the law. i.e., the
process by which a holder of a temporary license
makes application and the Board may extend or
renew a temporary license.

Subsection (e) of this section is new language
added to state expressly the current Board
practice under which the Board issues a license
to replace a temporary license.

As to the authority of the Board to set fees, see
§ 13-207 of this title.

13-314. RESTRICTED LICENSE.

(A) AUTHORITY TO ISSUE.

IF AN APPLICANT IS LICENSED OR REGISTERED TO PRACTICE
PHYSICAL THERAPY IN ANY OTHER STATE, THE BOARD MAY WAIVE THE
EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE AND ISSUE A
RESTRICTED LICENSE IF THE APPLICANT:

(1) PAYS TO THE BOARD THE RESTRICTED LICENSE FEE
SET BY THE BOARD;
