13-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

The only changes are in style.

applicable definitions.

(B)  BOARD.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
EXAMINERS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of the full title of
the Board.

(C)  LICENSE.

"LICENSE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE,
A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE:

(I)  PHYSICAL THERAPY; OR

(II)  LIMITED PHYSICAL THERAPY.

to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"license to practice physical therapy" and
"license to practice limited physical therapy".

(D)  LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST.

"LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT
REQUIRES OTHERWISE, A PHYSICAL THERAPIST WHO IS LICENSED BY
THE BOARD TO PRACTICE PHYSICAL THERAPY.

to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"individual licensed to practice physical
therapy".

On occasion, the term "licensee" is used in this
title as a synonym for "licensed physical
therapist". Since "license" is defined in
subsection (c) of this section, "licensee" need
not be defined separately.

(E) LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT.
