reenacting Section 6 of Chapter 24 of the Laws of Montgomery
County 1978, title "Revisions to Personnel Regulations", to
authorize the Personnel Board to continue its classification
duties and responsibilities as provided in the Montgomery
County Personnel Regulations until the Personnel Board
submits for County Council approval new regulations
pertaining to classification standards; and to authorize the
Personnel Board to submit personnel regulations pertaining
to classification standards prior to its submission of any
other proposed changes to the Montgomery County Personnel
Regulations which shall be submitted no later than February
1, 1980.
Effective Date January 18, 1980.

Chapter 44
AN EMERGENCY ACT to repeal and reenact with amendments,
Section 33-4, title "Salaries of Chairman and Members of
Personnel Board," of Chapter 33, title "Personnel," of the
Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended, to increase the
annual salary of the Chairman of the County Personnel Board
to $6,800 and to increase the annual salary of the members
of the Personnel Board to $6,000; and to provide for future
salary increases at a percentage which is 50% of the
percentage which the Consumer Price Index for All Urban
Consumers for the Washington Metropolitan Area for the
previous September shall have changed from the September of
the previous year.
Effective Date January 29, 1980.

Chapter 45
AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Article III, title "Permits"
of Chapter 8 of the Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended,
title "Buildings", by repealing in its entirety Section
8-29A, title "Moratorium on Alteration or Demolition of
Historic Sites:; and to provide that this is emergency
legislation and shall take effect on the date on which it
becomes law.
Effective Date January 24, 1980.
