CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 001-80
COMMISSIONERS OF POOLESVILLE
A RESOLUTION of The Commissioners of Poolesville
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the 1957 Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume
and 1979 Cum. Supp.), title "Corporations - Municipal",
subtitle "Home Rule", to amend Section 82-17 of the
Montgomery County Code 1972 (1977 Replacement Volume), as
amended, being a part of the municipal charter of The
Commissioners of Poolesville, to amend the provision therein
which limits the taxing authority of the Commissioners of
Poolesville to a rate not to exceed seventy-five cents
($0.75) on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessable
real and personal property to authorize the Commissioners of
Poolesville to levy a tax on such real and personal property
at a rate not to exceed $0.90 on each one hundred dollars
($100.00) of such real and personal property.
[Section(s) 82-17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

COMMISSIONERS OF POOLESVILLE
A RESOLUTION of The Commissioners of Poolesville
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the 1957 Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement
Volume), title "Corporations - Municipal", subtitle "Home
Rule", to amend Sections 82-3, title "Commissioners
Election; qualifications; compensation; fees;", Section
82-4, title "Same - Election of President; vacancies" and
Section 82-6, title "Registration of Voters" of the
Montgomery County Code 1972 (1977 Replacement Volume), as
amended, being a part of the municipal charter of The
Commissioners of Poolesville, to amend the provisions
therein to clarify existing provisions relating to the
election of the Commissioners of Poolesville, registration
of voters and conduct of elections; to require voters to be
at least eighteen (18) years of age, to provide for the
filling of vacancies in the office of Commissioner by the
remaining Commissioners and by special election, to provide
for the appointment of a chairman of the Supervisors of
Elections, filling vacancies in the office of Supervisor and
removal of Supervisors; to remove the requirement that
applicants registering to vote in Town elections file
affidavits relating to abandonment of registration in other
municipalities; to repeal provisions relating to abandonment
of registration in other municipalities; to repeal
