EXECUTIVE ORDERS
CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF MARYLAND HEREBY ORDER
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
1. That the Maryland Industrial Training Program
be and it hereby is transfered from the State
Department of Education to the Department of
Economic and Community Development, Division of
Economic Development;
2. That the administrative, budgetary, and
operational authority and responsibility for the
Program be and it is hereby vested in the
Department of Economic and Community Development;
3. That, in carrying out the Program, the
Department coordinate and cooperate closely with
the State Department of Education, the Department
of Human Resources, the State Board for Community
Colleges, with agencies administering the federal
Comprehensive Employment and Training Act, and
with the Maryland Apprenticeship and Training
Council; and
4. That, consistent with the Constitution and
laws of Maryland, the Department of Economic and
Community Development is authorized to accept
grants of money, materials, property, and
services from any public or private agency, firm
or individual for the purpose of executing its
duties and responsibilities under this order.

SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 COMMUTATIONS
WHEREAS, Each of the following inmates was convicted in
this State by a court of competent jurisdiction and is
presently nearing the expiration date of his/her
respective sentence; and
WHEREAS, These inmates are now in the custody of the
Commissioner of Correction for the State of Maryland or
the local authority of the city jail or county
detention centers; and
WHEREAS, The appropriate chief executive authorities of the
city and counties participating have reviewed, approved
and recommended the commutations from their respective
