that at the General Election held in the State of Maryland
on November 4, 1980, an Act known as Chapter 630 of the Acts
of 1980 was submitted to the voters of the State of Maryland
under the provisions of Article XIV of the Constitution of
the State of Maryland, said Act being as follows:
AN ACT concerning Wicomico County - Condemnation of
Property. For the purpose of providing that in the judgment
of and upon a finding by the Wicomico County Council,
property not built upon which is situated in Wicomico County
may be acquired immediately for public use; and providing
for a method of payment to the owner of the property at the
fair market value; and submitting this amendment to the
qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their adoption
or rejection.
And it is hereby certified that at said election,
301,481 votes were cast for the adoption of said Chapter 630
and 371,483 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Chapter 630, the said Chapter 630, of the Acts of 1980 has
therefore failed ratification by the qualified voters of the
State of Maryland as well as the qualified voters of
Wicomico County.
