SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
56.
Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, every
new application for a license shall be made to the board of
license commissioners or the clerks of court upon forms
prescribed by the Comptroller and sworn to by the applicant.
Every application for a license shall contain the following
statements:
(4) (I) A statement that the applicant has been
for two years next preceding the filing of his application a
resident of the county or the City of Baltimore in which he
proposes to operate under the license applied for.
(II) IN DORCHESTER COUNTY THE RESIDENCY
REQUIREMENT IS 1 YEAR;

(a) (1) No retail dealer holding a Class B or C
license shall be permitted to sell any alcoholic beverage at
a bar or counter on Sunday.
(b) (2) (i) This subsection is applicable to Caroline,
Cecil, Dorchester, EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBPARAGRAPH (2)(X)
OF THIS SUBSECTION, Garrett, except as provided in PARAGRAPH
(5) of this subsection, Harford, Kent, Queen Anne's,
Somerset, Talbot, Washington except as provided in PARAGRAPH
(7) of this subsection, and Worcester (except as otherwise
provided) counties.
(X) FOR DORCHESTER COUNTY THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS SECTION ARE SUBORDINATE TO SECTION 97 OF THIS
ARTICLE.
