SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

May 19, 1981
The Honorable Benjamin L. Cardin
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 750.

This bill expands the scope of the Maryland Industrial
Land Act by permitting loans to counties and Baltimore City
for the costs related to the provision of access roads and
utility lines to facilitate industrial development.

Senate Bill 488, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 14, 1981, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign House Bill
750.

Sincerely,
Harry Hughes
Governor

House Bill No. 753
