HARRY HUGHES, Governor
355
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
911(g).
The definition is stated in the infinitive form
to permit minor verb variations of the defined
phrase, without taking these variations out of
the scope of the definition.
In the introductory language of paragraph (2) of
this subsection, the present phrase "but is not
limited to" is deleted as unnecessary in light of
the definition of "includes; including" in §
1-101 of this article.
In paragraph (2)(i) of this subsection, the word
"{s}electing" is added to make express what
presently is only implied in the law -- i.e.,
that an occupational therapist may select
adaptive equipment.
(J) TEMPORARY LICENSE.
"TEMPORARY LICENSE" MEANS A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD
UNDER AND AS LIMITED BY § 9-313 OF THIS TITLE TO PRACTICE:
(1) OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY; OR
(2) LIMITED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"temporary license to practice occupational
therapy" and "temporary license to practice
limited occupational therapy".
REVISOR'S NOTE TO SECTION: Present Art. 43, § 911(b),
which defines "Association", is deleted because,
for clarity, the full name of the Association is
used in §§ 9-202 and 9-302 of this title, and, as
a result, there is no need to define
"Association".
Present Art. 43, § 911(k) and (1), which defines
"financial interest" and "household member" is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the
definitions of "household member", and
"substantial financial interest" in § 1-101 of
this article.
As to present Art. 43, § 911(j), which defines
"occupational therapy aide", see § 9-301 of this
title.
9-102. SCOPE OF TITLE.
(A) IN GENERAL.
