HARRY HUGHES, Governor

351

Mo changes are made.

(C)  LICENSE.

"LICENSE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE,
A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE:

(1)  OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY; OR

(2)  LIMITED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
911(d).

Item (2) of this subsection is new language added
to indicate activities authorized by the Board
for a licensed occupational therapy assistant.
For the definition of "practice limited
occupational therapy", see subsection (h) of this
section.

(D)  LICENSED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST.

"LICENSED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST" MEANS, UNLESS THE
CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE, AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST WHO IS
LICENSED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 43, § 911(e).

The only changes are in style.

On occasion, the term "licensee" is used in this
title as a synonym for "licensed occupational
therapist" or "licensed occupational therapy
assistant". Since "license" is defined in
subsection (c) of this section, "licensee" need
not be defined separately.

(E)  LICENSED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT.

"LICENSED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT" MEANS, UNLESS
THE CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE, AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
ASSISTANT WHO IS LICENSED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE LIMITED
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, § 911(f)
-- except the last phrase of that subsection.

The supervision requirement for a licensed
occupational therapy assistant now appears in §
9-310 of this title.
