HARRY HUGHES, Governor

333

Executive Secretary, Board of Examiners of
Nursing Home Administrators.

The reference in present Art. 43, § 768 that
prohibits an unlicensed person from using "any
title, sign, card, or device" to indicate that
the person is a licensed nursing home
administrator now appears as § 8-402 of this
title.

8-302. QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

TO QUALIFY FOR A LICENSE, AN APPLICANT SHALL BE AN
INDIVIDUAL WHO MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

(B)  MORAL CHARACTER.

THE APPLICANT SHALL BE OF GOOD MORAL CHARACTER.

(C)  AGE.

THE APPLICANT SHALL BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD.

(D)  EDUCATION.

THE APPLICANT SHALL MEET THE EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND
EXPERIENCE STANDARDS SET BY THE BOARD.

(E)  EXAMINATION.

EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE, THE
APPLICANT SHALL PASS AN EXAMINATION GIVEN BY THE BOARD UNDER
THIS SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, § 771
except as that section applies to paying a
fee.

In subsection (b) of this section, the phrase "be
of good moral character" is substituted for the
phrase "submits evidence of good character and
suitability" to conform with both the current
practice of the Board and the standard language
used in corresponding sections of other titles of
this article.

Subsection (e) of this section is standard
language added to this and, where necessary,
corresponding sections of other titles of this
article to state expressly that if a license
applicant is required to take an examination
under this subtitle then the applicant must pass
that examination before the applicant may be
licensed.
