LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch.8

The present phrase "unless a contrary meaning is
clearly intended..." is deleted as unnecessary.

The only other changes are in style.

See also § 1-101 of this article for other
applicable definitions.

(B) BOARD.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF NURSING
HOME ADMINISTRATORS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 43, § 767(1).

The present word "Maryland" is deleted from the
Board title to avoid the use of the duplicative
terms "Maryland" and "State" and to correspond
with other health occupation board designations
used in this article. In this regard, see also §
8-201 of this title.

The present reference to the statute by which the
Board is established (cf., § 8-201 of this title)
is deleted as unnecessary.

The only other changes are in style.

(C)  LICENSE.

"LICENSE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE,
A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE AS A NURSING HOME
ADMINISTRATOR.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"a license to practice as a nursing home
administrator".

(D)  LICENSED NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATOR.

"LICENSED NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATOR" MEANS, UNLESS THE
CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE, AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS LICENSED BY
THE BOARD TO PRACTICE AS A NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATOR.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"individual licensed to practice as a nursing
home administrator".

On occasion, the term "licensee" is used in this
title as a synonym for "licensed nursing home
administrator". Since "license" is defined in
subsection (c) of this section, "licensee" need
not be defined separately.
