lawful to keep for sale and to sell in Washington County for
consumption on the licensed premises, with meals only,
alcoholic beverages on Sundays between the hours of 12 noon
and 9 o'clock p.m. This section does not apply to any Class
D license (on-sale) in Washington County and it is lawful to
sell alcoholic beverages on Sundays for consumption on the
licensed premises only between the hours of 1 p.m. and 9
p.m.]
2. DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY CLASS B,
CLASS C, CLASS D, AND SPECIAL SUNDAY ON-SALE LICENSE. FROM
THE HOURS OF 12 NOON TO 12 MIDNIGHT;
3. DOES NOT APPLY TO SUNDAY SALES
WHEN NEW YEAR'S EVE OR NEW YEAR'S DAY FALLS ON A SUNDAY
WHICH IS GOVERNED BY § 89(C) OF THIS ARTICLE; AND
4. PROVIDES THAT LICENSEES
[Licensees] selling alcoholic beverages on Sunday shall pay
an annual fee of $250 in addition to their annual license
fee.
[(7) In Washington County, however, Sunday sales
when New Year's Eve or New Year's Day falls on a Sunday are
governed by § 89(c) of this article.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s)
90(b)(2)(iii) through (ix), respectively, of Article 2B -
Alcoholic Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland be
renumbered to be Section(s) 90(b)(2)(iv) through (x),
respectively.
SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act limiting the Washington County
special "picnic" license take effect upon the renewal of the
Washington County special "picnic" license or upon the
issuance of a new Washington County special "picnic"
license.
SECTION 2. 3 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Act shall take effect July 1, 1981.
