(A)  LICENSE TO PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSING AND LICENSE
TO PRACTICE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSING.

TO APPLY FOR A LICENSE TO PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSING
OR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSING, AN APPLICANT SHALL:

(1)  SUBMIT TO THE BOARD:

(I)  AN APPLICATION ON THE FORM THAT THE
BOARD REQUIRES; AND

(II)  WRITTEN, VERIFIED EVIDENCE OF
COMPLETION OF THE APPROPRIATE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS OF §
7-302 OF THIS SUBTITLE; AND

(2)  PAY TO THE BOARD THE APPLICATION FEE SET BY
THE BOARD.

(B)  LICENSE TO PRACTICE MIDWIFERY.

TO APPLY FOR A LICENSE AS A NURSE MIDWIFE, AN APPLICANT
SHALL:

(1)  SUBMIT TO THE BOARD AN APPLICATION ON THE
FORM THAT THE BOARD REQUIRES; AND

(2)  PAY TO THE BOARD THE APPLICATION FEE SET BY
THE BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
86(b), the reference to proof of meeting
education requirements in § 295(a), the first
sentence of § 295(d), the reference to proof of
meeting education requirements in § 296(a), and
the first sentence of § 296(e).

Subsection (a)(l)(i) of this section is standard
language added to this and, where necessary,
corresponding sections of other titles of this
article. It states expressly a provision that
presently is only implied in the law: i.e., that
applications may be made only on the form
required by the Board.

In subsection (a)(l)(ii) of this section, the
present reference to evidence verified "by oath
or affirmation" is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the provisions regarding "verification"
in § 1-201 of this article.

As to the authority of the Board to set fees, see
§ 7-206 of this title.
