[(b)] (C) A clerk CLERK shall devote his full
working time to the duties of his office and is entitled to
the salary [fixed by the Board of Public Works] PRESCRIBED
IN SUBSECTIONS (A) AND (B) SUBSECTION (A).
[(c)] (D) (1) The salary of a clerk CLERK is payable
biweekly from the fees, receipts, and emoluments of his
office after deducting the necessary expenses of the office.
(2) If the fees and receipts of the office are
insufficient to pay the salary of the clerk CLERK the
deficiency shall be paid by the Comptroller from funds
provided for that purpose in the State budget.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
Clerks of Court in office on the effective date of this Act,
but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary of the
Clerks of Court shall take effect at the beginning of the
next following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning
Family Day Care
FOR the purpose of changing the maximum number of children
permitted in care in a family day care home, so that
the number in care is dependent on the ages of the
children; allowing the Department of Human Resources to
reduce the maximum numbers for a given family day care
home; providing that local zoning provisions prevail;
changing the definition of a group day care center to
avoid duplicate licensing; making certain technical
corrections; and relating generally to family day care.
