(2) AN APPRENTICE LICENSE MAY BE RENEWED ONLY
THREE TIMES UNLESS THE BOARD ALLOWS RENEWAL FOR ADDITIONAL
1-YEAR TERMS.
(F) FUNERAL DIRECTOR LICENSE.
BEFORE A FUNERAL DIRECTOR LICENSE EXPIRES, THE LICENSEE
MAY RENEW IT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1-YEAR TERM IF THE LICENSEE:
(1) OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO BE LICENSED;
(2) PAYS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL FEE OF $25;
(3) SUBMITS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL APPLICATION
ON THE FORM THAT THE BOARD REQUIRES; AND
(4) HAS RENEWED THE LICENSE ANNUALLY.
(G) MEMBERS OF ARMED FORCES.
IF, WHEN THE LICENSE OF AN INDIVIDUAL OTHERWISE WOULD
EXPIRE, THE LICENSEE IS ON ACTIVE DUTY AS A MEMBER OF THE
ARMED FORCES BUT NOT ON A CAREER BASIS, THE LICENSE IS
RENEWED AUTOMATICALLY FOR A 1-YEAR TERM WITHOUT APPLICATION
OR PAYMENT OF A FEE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the fourth
sentence of Art. 43, § 347(b), from Art. 43, §
348(a) and the last clause of (b), from Art. 43,
§ 352(b) and the third sentence and the fourth
sentence — as that sentence applies to renewal
— of § 358, and from Art. 43, §§ 361(f) and
362(d).
Subsection (b) of this section — which provides
for renewal notice — is new language added to
conform to current Board practice and to similar
provisions governing other health occupations in
present Art. 43. See, e.g., Art. 43, § 634(c) as
to psychologists, and Art. 43, § 868(d) as to
social workers.
Subsection (c)(1) of this section is new language
added for clarity.
Subsection (d)(1) of this section is standard
language added to state expressly what presently
is only implied in the law — that the Board has
a duty to renew the license of any licensee who
has complied with the requirements of this
section.
Subsection (e)(l)(ii) of this section is new
language added to conform to the present practice
