(C) LICENSE NOT TRANSFERABLE.

A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD UNDER THIS TITLE IS NOT
TRANSFERABLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived in
part from the first sentence of Art. 43, § 347(b)
and the first clause of § 348(b) and from Art.
43, § 350 and the last clause of § 351(e).

In subsection (a) of this section, standard
language is added to express the presently
implied duty of the Board to issue the
appropriate license to an applicant who meets the
requirements for that license.

In subsection (b) of this section, the term
"license" is added to clarify that the Board must
sign and seal each license that the Board issues.

Subsection (b)(3) of this section is new language
added to clarify that the Board must designate on
each license or renewal the kind of license
issued.

In subsection (c) of this section, new language
is added to clarify that all licenses issued by
the Board are nontransferable.

6-312. SCOPE OF MORTICIAN LICENSE.

A MORTICIAN LICENSE ISSUED UNDER THIS TITLE AUTHORIZES
THE LICENSEE TO PRACTICE MORTUARY SCIENCE WHILE THE LICENSE
IS EFFECTIVE.

6-313. TERM AND RENEWAL OF LICENSES.

(A) TERM OF LICENSE.

(1) EXCEPT FOR A FUNERAL ESTABLISHMENT LICENSE,
A LICENSE ISSUED UNDER THIS TITLE EXPIRES ON THE MAY 1 AFTER
ITS EFFECTIVE DATE, UNLESS THE LICENSE IS RENEWED FOR A
1-YEAR TERM AS PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION.
