license, see § 6-313 of this subtitle.

6-307. FUNERAL DIRECTOR LICENSE.

(A)  ISSUANCE.

THE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A FUNERAL DIRECTOR LICENSE ONLY
TO AN APPLICANT WHO:

(1)  BEFORE MAY 2, 1973:

(I)  MET THE BOARD QUALIFICATIONS FOR A
FUNERAL DIRECTOR LICENSE; AND

(II)  WAS ISSUED A FUNERAL DIRECTOR LICENSE
BY THE BOARD;

(2)    HAS RENEWED THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR LICENSE
ANNUALLY SINCE MAY 2, 1973;

(3)  APPLIES FOR A FUNERAL DIRECTOR LICENSE
BEFORE MAY 1, 1980 ON THE FORM THAT THE BOARD REQUIRES; AND

(4)  PAYS TO THE BOARD A LICENSE FEE OF $25.

(B)  SCOPE.

A FUNERAL DIRECTOR LICENSE AUTHORIZES THE LICENSEE TO
PRACTICE FUNERAL DIRECTION WHILE THE LICENSE IS EFFECTIVE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
362(b) and (c).

In subsection (a) of this section, the word
"only" is added to state expressly what is only
implied in the law — that no other funeral
director licenses may be issued by the Board.

title.

As to the requirement that a funeral director be
licensed, see § 6-301 of this subtitle.

5-308. SURVIVING SPOUSE LICENSE.

(A) ISSUANCE.

SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, THE BOARD
SHALL ISSUE A SURVIVING SPOUSE LICENSE TO AN APPLICANT IF
