SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 48A - Insurance Code

190.

(e) EXCEPT FOR SUBSECTION (C) OF THIS SECTION, NOTHING
[Nothing] contained in this subtitle shall limit or abridge
the right of a surplus line broker to place surplus line
insurance with alien insurers that have qualified with the
National Association of Insurance Commissioners nonadmitted
insurer information office.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning

Horseracing - Maryland-Bred Fund Races

FOR the purpose of requiring that horses eligible to run in
Maryland-Bred Fund Races be registered with the
Maryland Horse Breeders Association; and requiring that
these horses be foaled in Maryland, or the product of
certain breeders, or the product of certain mares to
qualify for this registration.
