If a license issued under this title is lost, stolen,
mutilated, destroyed, or becomes illegible, the
Administration may issue a duplicate license on application
and payment of a fee of [$1] $2. Before the Administration
issues a duplicate, it may require the licensee to furnish
satisfactory proof of the loss, theft, mutilation,
destruction, or illegibility. When the Administration issues
the duplicate, the license previously issued is void.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning
Anchored Gill Nets
FOR the purpose of clarifying the boundary lines in the
upper Chesapeake Bay where anchor gill netting is
prohibited; and correcting the buoy number which marks
the southernmost point of the anchor gill net
prohibited area.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

4-728.
(c) (1) A person may not set an anchored gill net in
the area of Chesapeake Bay bounded on the north by a line
drawn from Turkey Point on the eastern shore to Sandy Point
in Harford County, and on the south by a line drawn from
Abbey Point to channel buoy number [37] 29, following the
channel northward to buoy number 1, off Grove Point, thence
