CHAPTER 475

(House Bill 1725)

AN ACT concerning

Frederick County - Electrical Code

FOR the purpose of providing that in Frederick County an
owner of any building, residential or commercial, who
obtains an electrical permit need not have a license to
perform electrical work on the building.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of Frederick County

Section l-7-102(a)(4)

Article 11 - Public Local Laws of Maryland

(1979 Edition, supplemented to April, 1980, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article 11 - Frederick County

1-7-102.

(a) The provisions of this division shall not apply
to:

(4) The owner of a [dwelling] RESIDENTIAL OR
COMMERCIAL BUILDING who obtains an electrical permit and who
signs a statement as shown in Exhibit A on file in the
office of the board of county commissioners.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

Approved May 12, 1981.
