SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article - Natural Resources
4-102.
(b) Notwithstanding any [other local or] general [law]
OR LOCAL LAWS OR ORDINANCES TO THE CONTRARY, [in Charles and
St. Mary's counties the catching of fish is legal if it is]
FINFISH, CRABS, OYSTERS, CLAMS, AND OTHER SHELLFISH, caught
in the WATERS WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE Potomac River
FISHERIES COMMISSION, in compliance with [the provisions of]
REGULATIONS PRESCRIBED BY THE COMMISSION PURSUANT TO the
Potomac River Compact [and any rule or regulation adopted by
the Potomac River Commission] OF 1958, MAY BE POSSESSED,
STORED, MARKETED, AND OTHERWISE DISPOSED OF ELSEWHERE IN THE
STATE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning
Cecil County - Sheriff's Office
Appointing Authorities
FOR the purpose of altering the salary of the Sheriff of
Cecil County; altering the number of and method by
which personnel are appointed, altering the method by
which salaries of certain personnel are to be
determined, altering the requirements concerning items
which must be provided to the Sheriff's office by the
County Commissioners of Cecil County; providing a
formula for determining pay increases for the Sheriff;
placing an upper limit on the salary of of the Sheriff;
and generally relating to the Office of the Sheriff of
Cecil County specifying in Cecil County who is the
appointing authority for employees of the Offices of
