AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - Driver's License Classes

FOR the purpose of providing that a Class A driver's license
authorizes the licensee to drive combinations of
certain vehicles; providing that a Class B driver's
license authorizes the licensee to drive combinations
of certain vehicles with a certain registered gross
vehicle weight or registered gross combination weight;
providing that a holder of a Class D driver's license
may not drive certain combinations of vehicles; and
clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Transportation

16-104.

(a) A Class A driver's license authorizes the licensee
to drive:

(1) Combinations of CLASS F (TRACTOR) AND CLASS
G (TRAILER) vehicles; and

(2) Any vehicle that a Class B, C, or D driver's
license authorizes its holder to drive.
