SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 33 - Election Code

2-5.

(b) [(6) The counsel to the board in Anne Arundel
County shall receive an annual salary of $2,400.]

(6) THE ANNUAL SALARY FOR THE COUNSEL TO THE
BOARD IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY SHALL BE AS PROVIDED IN THE
BUDGET OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY , BUT SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN
THE SALARY OF A BOARD MEMBER.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
counsel to the Election Board of Anne Arundel County in
office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions
of this Act concerning the salary of the Anne Arundel
County Election Board's counsel shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

Probation Violation - Sentencing to Confinement
and Further Probation

FOR the purpose of establishing that a judge of a court of
record may, upon a finding of probation violation,
sentence the violator to a period of incarceration plus
a period of probation.
