(a) (6) (III) HOWEVER, SCHOOLS OF BEAUTY CULTURE SHALL
GIVE CREDIT FOR COMPLETED COURSE HOURS, ON AN HOUR-BY-HOUR
BASIS, TOWARD MEETING THE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS UNDER THIS
SUBSECTION TO ANY PERSON ENROLLED IN THE SCHOOL, WHO HAS
BEEN A REGISTERED STUDENT ENROLLED IN A PROGRAM OF
COSMETOLOGY TRAINING IN A UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF
DEFENSE, OFFICE OF DEPENDENT SCHOOLS.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning

Public School Construction Program -
Debt Service on Closed Schools

FOR the purpose of providing that a county must reimburse
the State only for outstanding debt service for certain
schools constructed or substantially altered or
renovated with State funds and which are no longer used
for school purposes.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Education

5-307.

(a) Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 78A,
Section 15 of the code, this State may not require
reimbursement of debt service from a county for a school
that:

(1) Was initially constructed on or before
February 1, 1971;
