HARRY HUGHES, Governor

1361

In the introductory language of this section, the
term "industrial operators" is added for clarity.

20-103. SCOPE OF TITLE.

THIS TITLE DOES NOT LIMIT THE RIGHT OF AN INDIVIDUAL TO
PRACTICE A HEALTH OCCUPATION THAT THE INDIVIDUAL IS
AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE UNDER THIS ARTICLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to
reflect more accurately the state of the present
law and to conform to the language used in
similar provisions in other titles of this
article.

SUBTITLE 2. STATE BOARD OF WATERWORKS AND WASTE SYSTEMS
OPERATORS.

20-201. BOARD ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS A STATE BOARD OF WATERWORKS AND WASTE SYSTEMS
OPERATORS IN THE DEPARTMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first clause
of the first sentence of Art. 43, § 406A(e)(l).

It is set forth as a separate section for
emphasis.

The word "State" is added to the name of the
Board to achieve uniformity among the names of
the health occupation boards that this article
governs.

With the advice of the Board, the name of the
Board is changed for specificity.

The phrase "in the Department" is added in light
of Ch. 27, Acts of 1980 — which reorganized
responsibilities for certain environmental
programs of this State and transferred the Board
from the Department of Natural Resources to the
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. For a
further discussion, see the General Revisor's
Note to this title.

20-202. MEMBERSHIP.

(A) COMPOSITION.

(1)  THE BOARD CONSISTS OF NINE MEMBERS.

(2)  WITH THE ADVICE AND CONSENT OF THE SENATE,
THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT SEVEN :

(I) SIX MEMBERS WHO REPRESENT ONE OR MORE
