PROBLEMS, EMOTIONAL DISORDERS CONDITIONS, OR MENTAL
DISORDERS CONDITIONS OF INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS;

(II)  THE USE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL METHODS TO
ASSIST AN INDIVIDUAL IN ACQUIRING GREATER HUMAN
EFFECTIVENESS OR TO MODIFY FEELINGS, CONDITIONS, ATTITUDES,
OR BEHAVIOR THAT IS EMOTIONALLY, INTELLECTUALLY, OR SOCIALLY
INEFFECTUAL OR MALADJUSTED; AND

(III)  THE USE OF BIOFEEDBACK INSTRUMENTS
THAT DO NOT PIERCE OR CUT THE SKIN TO MEASURE PHYSICAL AND
MENTAL FUNCTIONING.

(3) IN THIS SUBSECTION, "PSYCHOLOGICAL METHODS",
"PSYCHOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES", AND "PSYCHOLOGICAL PROCEDURES"
INCLUDE THE BODY OF INFORMATION THAT CAN BE DERIVED ONLY
FROM A GRADUATE PROGRAM IN PSYCHOLOGY, AND OTHER EDUCATION
OR TRAINING RECOGNIZED BY THE BOARD AS PREREQUISITES FOR A
LICENSE UNDER THIS TITLE, AND THAT DOES NOT AMOUNT TO THE
PRACTICE OF MEDICINE.

(F) "PSYCHOLOGIST" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO PRACTICES
PSYCHOLOGY.

16-102.

This title does not limit the right of an individual to

practice a health occupation that the individual is

authorized to practice.

(1) [under] UNDER this article;

(2) UNDER A REGULATION ADOPTED UNDER THIS

ARTICLE; OR

(3) UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF AN INDIVIDUAL

AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE UNDER THIS ARTICLE.

(A) IN THIS SECTION, "RECOGNIZED PROFESSION" INCLUDES

ANY PROFESSION REPRESENTED BY A NATIONALLY ORGANIZED
ASSOCIATION THAT:

(1)  WAS INCORPORATED ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 1,
1981;

(2)  HAS A CODE OF ETHICS THAT GOVERNS THE

PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT OF ITS MEMBERS; AND

(3) REQUIRES FOR REGULAR MEMBERSHIP:

(I) A MASTERS OR DOCTORAL DEGREE IN
PSYCHOLOGY, MENTAL HEALTH, COUNSELING, PERSONNEL AND
GUIDANCE, DIVINITY, MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY, OR FAMILY
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FROM AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR

UNIVERSITY; AND
