BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

(As enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts

of the General Assembly of 1981)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1981) be repealed, amended, or enacted
to read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

16-301.

(a)  Except as otherwise provided in this section, an
individual shall be LICENSED OR certified by the Board
before the individual may use as a title or describe the
services the individual provides by use of the words
"psychological", "psychologist", or "psychology".

(b)  This section does not apply to:

(4) The activities and services of an individual
LICENSED OR CERTIFIED AS A PSYCHOLOGIST IN ANY STATE who
recently has become a resident of this State and has an
application for LICENSURE OR certification, with or without
examination, pending before the Board.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.
