CHAPTER 189

(House Bill 1032)

AN ACT concerning

Health Occupations - Discipline

FOR the purpose of removing all requirements that any
conduct must occur continually for that conduct to be a
ground for denying any license, reprimanding or placing
on probation any licensee, or suspending or revoking
the license of any person licensed under the Health
Occupations Article and providing that to practice
dentistry or dental hygiene in a grossly incompetent

manner is grounds for denying any license or

disciplining any licensee; and generally relating to
discipline.

FOR the purpose of removing requirements that certain
conduct must be continual as a grounds for disciplinary
action for certain health occupations; and providing
that to practice dentistry or dental hygiene in a
grossly incompetent manner is grounds for disciplinary
action.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Health Occupations

Section 4-314(a)(6) and (b)(5), 10-312(17),

14-504(20), and 15-311(a)(16)
Annotated Code of Maryland

(As enacted by Chapter ____(H.B. 1) of the Acts

of the General Assembly of 1981)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1981) be repealed, amended, or enacted
to read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

4-314.

(a) Subject to the hearing provisions of § 4-317 of
this subtitle, the Board may deny a general license to
practice dentistry, a limited license to practice dentistry,
or a teacher's license to practice dentistry to any
applicant, reprimand any licensed dentist, place any
licensed dentist on probation, or suspend or revoke the
license of any licensed dentist, if the applicant or
licensee:
