AN ACT concerning

Dentistry and Dental Hygiene - License Renewal Notice

FOR the purpose of altering the time for renewal notice for
a general license to practice dentistry, a teacher's
license to practice dentistry, a general license to
practice dental hygiene, or a teacher's license to
practice dental hygiene.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Health Occupations
Section 4-309(b)
Annotated Code of Maryland

(As enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts

of the General Assembly of 1981)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1981) be repealed, amended, or enacted
to read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

4-309.

(b) At least [1 month] 2 MONTHS before a general
license to practice dentistry, a teacher's license to
practice dentistry, a general license to practice dental
hygiene, or a teacher's license to practice dental hygiene
expires, the board shall send to the licensee, by first
class mail to the last known address of the licensee, a
renewal notice that states:

(1)  The date on which the current license
expires;

(2)  The date by which the renewal application
must be received by the board for the renewal to be issued
and mailed before the license expires; and

(3)  The amount of the renewal fee.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.
