AN ACT concerning

Practice of Medicine - Licensing Exceptions

FOR the purpose of changing the requirements for certain
individuals to practice medicine without a license
while under the supervision of certain licensed
practitioners.

Section 14-302(6)
Annotated Code of Maryland

(As enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts

of the General Assembly of 1981)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ___ (H.B.I) of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1981) be repealed, amended, or enacted
to read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

14-302.

Subject to the rules, regulations, and orders of the
Board and the Commission, the following individuals may
practice medicine without a license:

(6) An individual while under the supervision of
a licensed [psychiatrist] PHYSICIAN WHO HAS SPECIALTY
TRAINING IN PSYCHIATRY, AND WHOSE SPECIALTY TRAINING IN
PSYCHIATRY HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE BOARD, if the individual
either:

(i) 1. Has a master's degree from an
accredited college or university; and
