SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act

AN ACT concerning

Chiropractors - License Expiration

FOR the purpose of providing that a license to practice
chiropractic expires on a certain date unless renewed;
changing the procedures relating to renewal of a
license to practice chiropractic; eliminating failure
to renew a license to practice chiropractic as a ground
for denying, suspending, or revoking the license or
reprimanding the licensee; and making stylistic
changes.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1981) be repealed, amended, or enacted
to read as follows:

3-308.

(A) A LICENSE EXPIRES ON THE SEPTEMBER 1 AFTER ITS
EFFECTIVE DATE, UNLESS THE LICENSE IS RENEWED FOR A 1-YEAR
TERM AS PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION.

[(a)] (B) By August 1 of each year, the
secretary-treasurer of the Board shall send to each
licensee, by first class mail to the last known address of
the licensee, a renewal form and a renewal notice that
states:
