3-506. PENALTIES.

A PERSON WHO VIOLATES ANY PROVISION OF THIS TITLE IS
GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A
FINE NOT EXCEEDING $200 OR IMPRISONMENT IN JAIL NOT
EXCEEDING 1 YEAR OR BOTH.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived

without substantive change from the penalty

provisions in the first sentence of Art. 43, §
513.

The present minimum penalties are deleted to
conform to the statement of legislative policy
contained in Art. 27, § 643 of the Code, which
sets forth the general rule that, notwithstanding
a prescribed minimum penalty, the court
nevertheless may impose a lesser penalty of the
same character.

The second sentence of present Art. 43, § 513,
which relates to subsequent offenses, is deleted
as unnecessary.

SUBTITLE 6. SHORT TITLE; TERMINATION OF TITLE.

3-601. SHORT TITLE.

THIS TITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE "MARYLAND CHIROPRACTIC
ACT" .

reference to this title.

3-602. TERMINATION OF TITLE.

SUBJECT TO THE EVALUATION AND REESTABLISHMENT
PROVISIONS OF THE REGULATORY PROGRAMS EVALUATION ACT OF
1978, THIS TITLE AND ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS ADOPTED UNDER
THIS TITLE SHALL TERMINATE AND BE OF NO EFFECT AFTER JULY 1,
1982.
