The phrase "or offer to practice" is added to
conform to similar provisions governing other
health occupations in present Art. 43. See,
e.g., present Art. 43, § 768, as to nursing home
administrators.

3-502. MISREPRESENTATION.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

UNLESS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE CHIROPRACTIC UNDER THIS
TITLE, A PERSON MAY NOT REPRESENT TO THE PUBLIC BY TITLE, BY
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES, METHODS, OR PROCEDURES, OR
OTHERWISE, THAT THE PERSON IS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE
CHIROPRACTIC IN THIS STATE.

(B)  CERTAIN REPRESENTATIONS PROHIBITED.

UNLESS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE UNDER THIS TITLE, A
PERSON MAY NOT USE THE TITLE "CHIROPRACTOR", OR "D.C.", OR
ANY OTHER TERM OR TITLE WITH THE INTENT TO REPRESENT THAT
THE PERSON PRACTICES CHIROPRACTIC.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived in
part from the third clause of the first sentence
of Art. 43, § 513, and revised in the standard
language used throughout this article to express
a prohibition against false representations of
authority to practice a health occupation.

Subsection (b) of this section is derived from
those specific elements of Art. 43, § 513 that
are not covered clearly by the general language
of subsection (a) of this section.

3-503. PROHIBITED TRANSFER OF DIPLOMA OR LICENSE.

A PERSON MAY NOT BUY, SELL, OR FRAUDULENTLY OBTAIN:

(1)  A LICENSE; OR

(2)  ANY DIPLOMA OR DEGREE REQUIRED UNDER § 3-302
OF THIS TITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from that part of the
first sentence of Art. 43, § 513 that relates to
the unlawful sale or obtaining of a diploma or
license.

The present words "whether recorded or not" are
deleted as unnecessary.
