Any person who violates the provisions of this
subheading is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction is
subject to a fine not exceeding $100.

This subheading applies only in the following counties:

(1)	Charles County, [and]
(2)	Calvert County, AND
(3)	SOMERSET COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

(House Bill 386)

AN ACT concerning

Strip Mining - License Suspension

FOR the purpose of amending the law related to licenses for
strip mining of coal in Maryland to provide for license
suspension whenever permit revocation procedures have
been brought against an operation owned or controlled
by the licensee due to persistent or repeated
noncompliance with the provisions under the subtitle on
strip mining, and continued operations by the licensee
at other locations are a contributing factor; and
generally relating to disciplinary actions that may be
taken against certain persons involved in strip mining
operations.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
