        pounds of Sterling Mony of old England which to him he oweth
        And from him he unjustly detains ~
                And Whereupon the Said Richd. Morris by Richd. Macklin
        his Attry Sayth that Whereas the Said Alexander Graves the
        twenty Sixth day of August Anno Dom 1701 At Kent County
        Within the Jurisdiction of this Court by his certaine bill or
        Writing obligatory Sealed with his Seale As his act and deed
        Delivered And hereinto Court Brought whose date is the
        Same day and year did bind himself his heires Exrs Admrs.
        or Assignes to pay or Cause to be paid unto the Said
        Richard Morris his heires or Assignes or Any attorney the
        afd Sum of ten pounds Sterlg mony of England At or
        upon the tenth day of December next Enusing the
        date of the Said Bill or writing Obligatory Yet Never=
        :theless the Said Alexander Graves the afd Sume of ten
        pounds Sterg Mony of Old England According to the tenr:
        of the Same bill or writing obligatory unto the Said
        Richard Morris hath not paid but the Same to pay
        hath denyed and refused And Still doth deny and refuse
        And unjustly detaine to the Damage of the Sd Richd.
        Morris o 20lb of like Sterg Mony and there upon he brings
        this Suit    Macklin pr qr. Pleg &ca. Jno. Doe R Roe ~ ~
                And the Sd Defendt. by Michael Earle his Attry
        Comes & defends the force And Injury when &ca. And prays
        Leave to Imprle hereunto untill next Court & he hath it
        the Same day is given the Plf Also
                At Which Said Next Court to wit the 24th. day of
        March Anno Dom 170½ the Sd Parties Appeared by their Attrys
        afd but for as much as all proceedings of this Cort were
        Continued by Virtue of A Special Act of Assembly In ye. Case
        provided untill the first Tuesday of Aprill next ye. Cause
        was Continued according to Act of Assembly afd
                At Which Said first tuesday in Aprill, the Seventh
        Day of the Same Month Comes as well the Said Plf by
        his Attry afd As the Said Defendt. by his Sd Attry who farther
        Defends the force and Injury when &ca~ And for plea Sayth
        True it is the Said Defendt. did Seale And deliver one
