      Which being bÿ y^e Court heard and fullÿ understood It is bÿ y^e Justices here
      Considered this 26^th Daÿ of A 7ber anno Dñi 1704 That y^e S^d John Long |as
      to y^e Indictm^t afs^d) Goe thereof w^thout Daÿ, and be Discharged and acquitted
      from y^e Same, paÿing his fees and y^e S^d John Comitted to y^e Sher^f’s Custodÿ

	before his Eÿes not haveing but being lead bÿ y^e Instigation of y^e —
	Devill on y^e 30^th Daÿ of march an^o Dñi 1704 at Towne hundred in
	S^d Countÿ w^thin y^e Jurisdiction of this Court Did w^th force and armes —

      lead awaÿ and brand one Coulte of y^e vallue of two hundred pounds of tob^o —
      belonging to a Certaine p^rson unknown being Contrarÿ to her majestÿes peace
      and y^e act of assemblÿ in Such Cases made and p^rvided

       Which S^d bill was Endorsed as falloweth viz^t Bill^a vera p^r

      This Indictm^t. being Continued from y^e fourth Tuesdaÿ in June last untill —
      this p^rsent Court, and now here Comes y^e S^d John Long and being Called to
      y^e barre To answer &c^a appears and Saÿs y^t he is not Guiltÿ of y^e p^rmisses
      and for Trÿall putts himselfe upon y^e Countrÿ
   And Michael Earle who p^rsecutes for S^d Ladÿ y^e Queen in Like man^r —
          Thereupon Comãnd is Given to y^e Sher^f of Kent Countÿ y^t he Immediate=
    : lÿ Cause to Come here twelve &c^a bÿ whome &c^a who neither &c^a to recognize
      because as well &c^a and y^e S^d Sher^f Comes and Saÿs y^t he hath here readÿ
      twelve &c^a as bÿ his S^d p^rcept he was Comãnded to witt W^m. Sigleÿ Natt^ll Cleave
      Tho: Godwin Edw^d Godwin Edw^d Mahane Henrÿ Jackson Nicha^s Marseÿ
