Phillip Holegia    | Billa very Pr. John Chares foreman In Last Novr
        Cort, was Sumoned by a writt of Vene fas to Appeare &ca. but for
        As much As the Cort Is credibly informed, upon his non Appearance,
        that he ^is So dangerously Sick that without great danger of Death
        he Could not have Appeared It was Continued untill next Cort
        Att which Said next Court to wit the Twenty Seventh day of Janry
        Anno Domi 170½ Comes the Said Phillip and in his proper prson
        Appeares to the Presentmt. afd Which being framed into bill folls
        in these words .
Kent Ss: The Jurors for our Sovereign Lord the King that now is for the body
        of Kent County upon their oaths do present Phillip holeagia
        of Kent County als dict Phillip holegia of Cecill County planter
        for that he the Said Phillip the 20th day of Novr. Anno Domi
        1700 At Kent County within the Jurisdiction of this Court wth
        force and Arms one quilding of the price of nine hundred
        pounds of Tobacco of the proper goods of a certaine Wm. Hollins=
       :worth feloniously he did Steale and bear away against the
        Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King and against the form
        of the Act of Assembly in that case made and provided
                                                   Macklin pr Dno Rege ~
        Whereupon the Said phillip pray’d that consell Might be Allowed him,
        Being ignorant of and unskilld in the law, whereby the better he
        might make his defence to the Indmt: afd. And upon his prayer as Afd
        Michael Earle was Allotted to him for Counsel as afd who for plea to
        the Sd indictmt. Sayth that he is not Guilty of the fact whereof he
        Stands Indicted and thereof for tryall puts himself upon the Country
           And the Sd Richd. Macklin who folls. for our Lord the King Says
        he is guilty &ca.
                  Whereupon Comand is given the Sherf of Kent County yt. he im=
        mediately Cause to Come here twelve &ca. by whom &ca. who unto &ca.
        to recognize &ca. because As well &ca. . And now this Same day &
        year to wit the 27th. day of Janry Anno Domi 170½ Comes ye. Sd
        Sherf and makes retn of his Said precept that he has now here twelve &ca
        As by his precept it was Commanded (That is to Say) John Hamer
        Samuell Wallis Wm. Price, Phittingham, Thomas Scottin Wm. Robinson
        Henr. Jackson John Jordan John Hollinsworth John Hughs Wm. Comegies
