      at |    unto Richard Macklin admr. of all and Singulr

John Champney ~ |    the goods and Chattells of John Hollinsworth late


     of Kent County decd of a plea yt. he render him
        the Sume of Sixteen hundred pounds of Good Sound merchantable
        leaf tobacco and Casq which from him he unjustly detaines ———
           (As by the decln filed in this Court by Sd Macklin in his prpr prson
        May at large appear)    A Copy of the sd: decln having been Sent wth. ye. —
        writt the Deft. Appeared and the Plaintf thereupon prays bayle which
        being granted Nathaniel Wright comes into Court and becomes bayle for
        the Sd. Deft. in the Accõn afd According to Act of Assembly and the
        Cause was Continued untill next Court At which Said next Court to wit
        this twenty third day of March Anno 1702    Comes ye. Sd Plaintf in his
        prprson as afd and the Said John Champney in his proper prson
        who Sayth yt he Cannot gainsay the plaintf his accõn So as afd
        agt. him brought nor but that he is and Stands Justly indebted —
        unto the plaintf in his afd Capacity in the Sume afd and is there:
        :fore willing that Judgt: be Entred agt. him for ye. Same & Cost of Suit
                It is therefore Considered by the Court here this twenty third day
        of March Anno 1702 that the Said Richd. Macklin in his afd ——
        Capicity Recover agt. the Said John Champney As well the Sume of —
        Sixteen hundred pounds of tobacco ye. debt afd As the Sume of
                                                                       pounds of tobacco Cost of Suit
        and the deft: in mercy &ca. ———
